Hydroforming

Hydroforming is a special technique in which high pressure fluid forces a sheet of metal to conform to the shape of a 'mold'. A plain sheet of the metal is clamped between the two halves of a split chamber. One half of the chamber contains the mold, and is vented to the outside. The other half is filled with the fluid, and after all air bubbles are removed, more fluid is pumped in, stretching the sheet against the mold.
